Food. Farms. Community.

Three key words that inspire Cultivate Kansas City to make an impactful cultural & environmental difference in our city. Cultivate KC is a locally grown non-profit that promotes urban organic agriculture for a healthy food system. The people at Cultivate aren’t just growers, they’re educators, trainers, facilitators, and organizers.

With the drastic recent rise in processed food consumption, people are often committing to a quick, unhealthy meal for the perceived convenience, while sacrificing the key nutrients our bodies need to function properly. Cultivate bucks this unhealthy lifestyle trend, providing organic vegetables and herbs to local KC restaurants--- including Farmhouse, Heirloom Bakery & Hearth, Bristol, Webster House, Story, Renee Kelly’s Harvest, Café Gratitude. Food grown in KC that stays in KC.

Cultivate has been creating local jobs and providing resources to urban farmers since 2005, helping growers develop invaluable farming skills and supporting the creation of sustainable farm businesses on KC’s vacant land. Often these farmers are refugees, still understanding how to sell crops in American markets. Cultivate provides them with the knowledge and tools necessary to succeed in their new environment.

But it’s not all about the crops, they also pride themselves on harvesting a strong community--- rooted in the education, inspiration, & support of local farmers. Here at Charlie Hustle, we’re thrilled to join this community. We’re collaborating with Cultivate and Public Market to produce three new t-shirts and an organic tote bag. A percentage of the proceeds will go directly to our friends at Cultivate KC. Rather than a one-time donation, we want to create a campaign that will have a lasting impact on this great local organization and their farming family.

You can purchase your shirts, tote bag, or all-inclusive gift bag HERE
