K-STATE | POWER CAT
The infamous power-cat logo has been a prominent figure in Wildcat Country and beyond for multiple decades. But, few know that the concept was first introduced by coach Bill Snyder, as he wanted a new logo for his football team. Bill sought out help from a Kansas State art professor and in 1989 the power-cat was introduced. A few years later, Willie the Wildcat was created to resemble the power-cat and be a wildcat icon at athletic events.
